Diocesan Pilot Program

Eight churches Diocesan wide have been chosen to journey together to launch the "Stewardship As a Way of Life" Pilot Program. The upcoming 12 months will be filled with activities, events and opportunities for parishioners to more fully engage in their Church, develop a deeper prayer life and give back the talents God has gifted them with.

The Goal: For all Christians in the Diocese of Fort Worth to receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others and return them with increase to the Lord. (USSCB, 1992)

What does “Stewardship As a Way of Life” look like?

  • Higher engagement rate
  • People living a life of gratitude to thank God for all He has given them
  • Greater sense of community within the church
  • More ministries and service opportunities

How will this be done?

  • 4 Pillars of Stewardship: Hospitality, Prayer, Formation, Service
  • Stewardship Committee formed at every church
  • Foster the opportunity to meet others on the same journey, build a larger Catholic Community
  • Structured timeline for all churches to follow in 2016

Please pray for everyone who is on this journey; that all hearts are open to God’s call to live as a true Disciple of Christ.
