How Does Online Giving Work?

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Diner’s Club) as well as check cards backed by either Visa or MasterCard.

How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed online?

As you complete your donation, you will be sent a receipt via email – to acknowledge your specific online transaction.

Will I receive a tax donation letter?

Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. After the completion of each calendar year, you will be sent a tax donation letter showing your complete donation history for that specific calendar year.

Matching Gifts – Double or Triple Your Donation

If your company has a matching gifts program, you may be able to double or even triple the amount of your donation. Please see your company’s Human Resources Department and ask how you can apply for a matching gift.

Collection of Information – Privacy Statement

The online giving page is a service provided by Blackbaud, Inc. to the Catholic Diocese of Fort Advancement Foundation. This website was created for the purpose of receiving donations online. Blackbaud and the Advancement Foundation are committed to protecting your privacy.

Blackbaud does not sell trade, rent, or share your information with any entity other than the Advancement Foundation who receives your donation and the vendor we have selected to process payment transactions, which has its own privacy policy. Blackbaud may use demographic data derived from aggregate donor information, such as number of donors from a particular locale or number of donations above a certain giving level.

This website collects your e-mail address for the sole purpose of sending donation confirmations. Blackbaud will not disclose, sell, trade, rent or otherwise reveal your e-mail address to any entity other than the Advancement Foundation, who receives your contribution.

Is it safe to give using my credit card?

Blackbaud and the Advancement Foundation have taken steps to give you the best security possible. Should you decide to make a donation, you will be asked to provide your name, contact information and credit card billing information. All of this information is encrypted using SSL, an industry stand secure technology. This security protocol encrypts credit card numbers so they cannot be copied. The secure environment is indicated on the browser with the display of a lock or key on the browser status bar. The display of the secure icon indicates that encryption has been activated.

In addition to utilizing SSL encryption for all transactions, Blackbaud stores encrypted credit card numbers and passwords, as well as other donor information, on servers that are kept in a physically secure environment with strict policies that minimize staff access to the information contained therein.
